Meet Our Leadership Team

John Sheehan Healthcare management veteran John Sheehan brought more than two decades of experience to Rochester Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) when appointed as president and chief executive officer in August 2021. Throughout his career, Sheehan has helped health systems and community-based organizations navigate constantly evolving care models.
Prior to Rochester RHIO, Sheehan served as principal lead consultant for All Tier Health Care Consulting in St. Petersburg, Fla., where he focused on behavioral health integration, tele- psychiatry implementation, strategic planning, new business development, quality improvement, and revenue cycle analysis.
He previously led Toledo-based Harbor, one of the largest behavioral health providers in the Midwest with more than 30 treatment locations in Ohio, Michigan, and Virginia. As president and CEO, Sheehan was responsible for a wide range of hospital-based, residential, and outpatient clinical programs. He was also CEO for its subsidiary, Lighthouse Tele-Psychiatry Corporation. Sheehan earned a bachelor’s degree from The Florida State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and holds certifications as a Fellow of the American College of HealthCare Executives and as a Six Sigma Green Belt, Breakthrough Management Group. He and his wife, Bethany, have two adult children, Jack and Hanna. He enjoys competing in triathlons and working on cars in his spare time.
A J Balasubramanian A J Balasubramanian is Director of Operations for Aigilx Health in Chennai, India. Balasubramanian graduated from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai in 1984. He has over three decades of professional experience in the technology industry, as a founder of startups and manager of business incubator. He has also held senior positions in IT companies. He has built technology development teams as part of IT services and product development companies. He is an active alumnus of his alma mater CEG.
Ted Wright With over twenty-five years of healthcare experience, Ted has continually worked to provide process improvements via technology. He’s worked with organizations in nearly all fifty states, and has completed both process optimization services, and return on investment analyses for many types of organizations including Beth Israel Hospital (NY), Detroit Department of Public Health, The State of Hawaii Department of Health, and The State of Texas Health and Human Services. Ted was the lead consultant on a number of additional projects including CCHIT Certification for the myAvatar application provided by Netsmart Technologies.
Ted has also worked as a sales leader for a number of electronic health record companies, including Netsmart Technologies and Streamline Healthcare Solutions. Ted helps organizations clean up processes, build new systems, expand services, connect better with staff and clients, and leverage technology to better manage their organizations. He has led both clinical and sales teams and is completely focused on producing tangible results for the organizations he serves.
Ted runs his own consulting firm called Evolve Partners Consulting LLC. The primary focus is to help organizations clean up processes, build new systems, expand services, connect better with staff and clients, and leverage technology to better manage their organizations.
Ted holds an Associate’s Degree from Alfred State College, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, along with a Masters in Health Administration from Ohio University.
Peter Robinson Peter Robinson is the Senior Vice President of Health Affairs at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). He joined URMC in 1988 where he held a variety of positions and coordinated all administrative/management functions assigned to the Medical Center and the Strong Health Chief Executive Officer. He previously served as Associate Executive Director of Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City and as Director of Ambulatory Care at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He has also been a health care management consultant for the government and private sector.
